Well the gang is all here at Kirkwood ready to kick off the North American Freeskiing Championships tomorrow. This comp is extra rad because all the Euro guys and girls are here from the Nissan Freeride World Tour. They are some serious heavy hitters and I am looking forward to throwing down against them and watching the show they will surely put on this weekend.
The weather today was sunny and warm, but a solid sized storm is set to blow in tomorrow and things should get less pleasent for a day or two. It looks like the qualifier will go off tomorrow on Lookout Vista before the worst of it gets here. Then we may have a weather day or two before the finals go down in the permanently closed Cirque zone.
I would like to mention again how pumped I am that the French guys are here. Julian, Adrien, Aurilen, Matty and Guerlian are truly gifted skiers and we are fortunate to them here for this amazing event.
