Last week Whistler Local Photographer Andrew Strain took second place at the Ski Salt Lake Shootout in Salt Lake City, Utah. This podium comes soon after Andrew’s third place finish at the Deep Winter Photo Challenge. It’s cool that he can show up to mormon land and dominate.

The competition included 8 photographers and 24 athletes. Each photogrpaher had 3 athletes and one day at each of the major Utah ski resort. Alta, Brighton, Snowbird, and Solitude. The photographers were asked to submit their two best images from each resort and make a photo portfolio. There was also a urban catigory and a facebook favorite category.
