It has been snowing here for three days straight.  I have not seen the sun since sometime last week. Maybe in Salt Lake before we left last Sunday. Anyway, there was another 2 feet of somewhat damp pow today on the hill to cover the 2 feet of slightly drier snow from yesterday. The Qualifier for the 2011 Canadian Freeskiing Championships did actually go down today.

With terrible visibility and dumping snow all the athletes were fired up to ski on the pow covered venue. MSI decided that no inspection would be a good idea today and I agree. More fresh pow for the show. Overall there were a few really sick runs today and some that were sub par. Mine was very sub par. Sorry to all my fans out there….(all three of you)

Tomorrow the weather is looking good, and it is supposed to snow more tonight. The 20 men and 8 women that made it through the Qualifier will mix it up with the Pre-qualified athletes in North Bowl starting early tomorrow morning. This venue is super wide and has loads of rad features. I am expecting strong skiing from all, but watch out for Dylan Crossman, Lars Chickering-Ayers and Griffin Post. They would be my 3 horses if I were a betting man. Stay tuned for tomorrow’s update in the evening.
