Our buddy Phil Hoban took a bad crash after losing a ski in The Fingers on New Years Day.  Squaw Ski patrol rocked it and got him the best care possible and got his ass to Reno fast.  Phil broke one of the vertebrae in his neck.  He underwent surgery yesterday and I was lucky enough to go see him in the hospital a few hours after the proceedure.  The surgery went perfectly and he’s expected to make a full recovery.

Phil is a great guy, one of the GNAR competitors, a local ripper, and someone I’ve been good friends with for a long time.  His presence will be missed on the mountain this year.  But with our support and some solid physical therapy, he’ll be out making us all look bad again next season.
