This is a pretty sweet video from Smith Optics “Prospecting Idaho” web series featuring Telluride local Gus Kenworthy. Apparently Smith has their own private cat operation located about a half an hour from their offices in Sun Valley, Idaho. This backcountry zone is located on 800 acres and is used by Smith athletes and employees for photo and video shoots, product testing, and it looks like shooting guns! Sounds like a pretty fun time. This past winter Smith built the first private backcountry park on this land and filmed with some of their top athletes producing these cool web videos. In this episode, Gus throws down with fellow Smith rider’s Cody Barnhill and Colter Brehmer on some pretty cool features. Check out the rest of “Prospecting Idaho” HERE.
