Get Dead….
There is one bright spot this weekend and it is the DEAD WINTER CARPENTERS, a real local band with soul and a guitarist/vocalist who is 6’8″ and played NCAA division one hoops at Northwestern. Yeah, he’s pretty cool. They are playing the after party at the Crystal Bay Club on Saturday night. This is a solid option if you’re going out on Saturday night.
Besides that, there really ain’t nuttin’ gon’ on nohow this weekend in Tahoe. This is truly the SLOWEST time of year in Tahoe. There is no one in town and no one is spending money. Some restaurants are just closed. There are some deals rolling around because of this, though. I know that Dragonfly in Truckee is half off everything. Wolfdale’s, the fanciest restaurant in Tahoe, has two for one entrees right now with this coupon. Take a look in the Tahoe Weekly for more local dining deals.
Seriously, if you have a ladyfriend or you’re currently stalking one, this is your time to take her out to a refined meal and make yourself look good – but it’s half off and you’re still a dirtbag and your wallet doesn’t take too big of a hit right after buying those Atomic Atlases I recommended for ya.
