Ski Report From The Hill: Jan. 24, 2009

The Fingers
Upper Mountain

There was a fresh 6 inches of snow on the upper mountain today. Below that the rain really soften the snow up. The wind pulled some of the moisture out of the snow and it was not so sticky. There was good skiing to be found off of Headwall and KT. KT-22 has fresh snow on the upper half and a mushy layer on the lower half. In some spots the entire snow pack has become one uniform substance of wet, punchy snow.- I found a near Football field size patch of uncut snow under the far alternates. Look for the at to be good tomorrow. I strongly recommend some powder skis with reverse camber for this snow conditions. Its some heavy mank out there.
