Boise, Idaho — If you’ve ever wanted to own a chair from a chairlift, here’s your chance.

Earlier today, Bogus Basin began auctioning off chairs from the Bitterroot and Coach chairlifts. A limited number of chairs are available from both decommissioned lifts. Bids started at $300.00, with bid increments of $25. The auction will end on Saturday, May 11th, at 8:00 p.m. However, if there’s a bid in the final ten minutes of the auction, there will be an extension of ten minutes or longer if the bids continue.

If you win one of the chairs, you must go to Bogus Basin to pick it up. Pick-up dates are June 1st and 2nd from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The winning bidders will check in at the Simplot Lodge Ticket window.

This February, it was announced that those two chairlifts would be replaced by fixed-grip quad chairlifts. Other plans for this offseason include adding three new trails around these new chairlifts.
