STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colorado — In a recent development announcement reported on by The Yampa Valley Bugle, Discovery Land Company, LLC, the firm behind Montana’s prestigious Yellowstone Club, revealed plans for its inaugural project in Colorado, adjacent to Steamboat Springs. The proposed venture, Stagecoach Mountain Ranch, encompasses nearly 6,500 acres and is slated to include a private ski and golf development.

According to a document shared with the Upper Yampa Water Conservancy District, Discovery Land Company aims to submit development plans for Stagecoach Mountain Ranch to the Routt County Planning Department as early as May. These plans outline the construction of 697 residences alongside extensive recreational amenities.

The project’s narrative specifies that Stagecoach Mountain Ranch will occupy a portion of 6,412 acres, mainly situated south of Stagecoach Reservoir in Routt County. The company intends to present a Preliminary Subdivision Plan to Routt County authorities during the proposed May submission.

Stagecoach Mountain Ranch’s primary location was once home to the short-lived Stagecoach Ski Area, which ceased operations after the 1974 season. The resurgence of interest in this dormant ski area has stirred anticipation in the Yampa Valley for years.

Discovery Land Company, known for curating luxury communities worldwide, is expected to bring its signature blend of opulence and recreation to the Colorado landscape.

As Stagecoach Mountain Ranch progresses through the approval process, discussions surrounding infrastructure, water access, and environmental impact are anticipated to take center stage. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting development as it unfolds in the coming months. You can also read the full report on The Yampa Valley Bugle,
