With brick-and-mortar retail dying a slow death, one Steamboat ski shop is ditching the retail business model for three things that have always generated revenue– rentals, repairs and booze.

By adding a bar and a state of the art, CSA ski tuning machine, Fleischer Sports is set to become both the local’s and tourist’s favorite spot to grab their first beer of aprés. Genius!

The two beers on tap will be Stella Artois and local brewer, Storm Peak’s IPA reports the Steamboat Today. The atmosphere will also be complimented by food courtesy of the Drunken Onion, wine, and two big screen TV’s,

This way, patrons dropping off their skis can stop for a beer and bite while watching everything from Sunday Football to Mikaela Shiffrin dominating the Slalom in Pyeongchang. All we can say is congrats Chad Fleischer. We look forward to dropping our skis off for a tune!
