“Swaky offers a completely new way to enjoy carving on a board. Fast, fun and totally inclusive – suitable for all ages and abilities.”
After a snowboard champion Toshiyuki Sueki had to give up his career after an accidental fall subjected his legs to an impact equivalent to dropping from a five-story building crushing both of his ankles, he set out to overcome his limitations and get back on the slopes. Out of this struggle came a completely new way to carve a snowboard and now he wants to share his creation with winter-sports lovers worldwide.
What is it?
Swaky ($461) is a new kind of winter sports gear that anyone can enjoy. It’s incredibly easy to master, but offers an experience that will satisfy even pro snowboarders. Whether you’re young or old, physically disabled or able-bodied, Swaky is for you.
How do you use it?
Grab the handlebars, and control your ride from the sweet spot on the seat. It lets you feel changes in the snow directly, and keeps you low to the ground for a thrilling sense of speed.
…while this might not be your cup of tea, we support snow sliders across all platforms and I think Toshiyuki is a badass for getting back on the mountain after such a crushing injury and coming up with a unique solution to his problem.
