The powder forecast for the upcoming week is looking grim– unless you’re living in Montana reports NOAA.

Current models indicate that Big Sky and the mountains surrounding Cooke City should pull down somewhere between 1-2 FEET of snow by Thursday morning. Right now, Red Lodge Mountain and Cooke City remain under a Winter Storm Warning while other ski areas such as Big Sky, Bridger Bowl, and Ski Showdown are observing a Winter Storm Watch.

And like all great storms, the system will exit with cold temps across the mountains of southern and central Montana. More northern resorts such as Whitefish should see somewhere under 10″ of snow by Thursday.

Forecasted Snowfall Totals:

Cooke City – 28″

Big Sky – 27″

Bridger Bowl – 21″

Ski Showdown – 15″

Red Lodge – 13″
