After a roller coaster of an early season that saw Tahoe skiers and riders getting October backcountry laps before opening days were pushed back, the first ski area in California is now open @MammothMountain.

With Mammoth open, North America has 4 ski areas open this weekend and expects more next weekend with Copper, Breckenridge, and Keystone all looking towards a cooling trend next week that will allow for productive snowmaking.
