A giant Atmospheric River is making its way across the Pacific Ocean with a bullseye right on Whistler Blackcomb.

Snowfall will begin this evening with the heaviest snow falling Thursday night. The storm will continue to rage into early next week with snowfall total forecasted to be as much as 40″ or more.

Storm trackers will be keeping a close eye on the fluctuating freeze level that will ultimately determine the snow line and the total amount of snow.
