Mt. Hutt is reporting that after its most recent 10cm snowfall, it will be continuing running its lifts through the Oct. 11th and with more snow on the way, it’s hard to say if that date is set in stone either. In an interview with 3 News in New Zealand, Mt. Hutt Manager James McKenzie told reporters, “It’s been a number of seasons since we’ve had all terrain open at this time of year.”

This announcement follows Mt. Ruapheu’s statement that they will be staying open through October 26th! Also, the Cardrona ski field is extending its season through October 11th as well.
