It is with deep sadness that we report that according to multiple sources, Erik Roner has died in a skydiving accident in Lake Tahoe, California.

Roner was reportedly jumping with a group of four skydivers that included JT Holmes and Aaron McGovern. According to witnesses, Roner hit a tree at high speed as he was coming in for a landing, and either died immediately or shortly succumbed to his injuries. Roner was suspended by his chute 25-30 feet off the ground for at least 40 minutes until emergency crews could reach him. He was then transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. Cause of death is still unknown.

We will update you when more details become available.

Roner is survived by his wife, Annika, and two young children.
