According to KFVS 12 News, A man is currently being held in jail for 24 hours after he was rescued from drowning in the Current River right outside of Doniphan, Missouri on Sunday.

The incarcerated person, 21-year old Cody Martin was paddling his kayak while intoxicated on the Current River, when he fell out of his boat and was unable to swim ashore.

Luckily, a fellow boater spotted his body and proceeded to pull Martin ashore. The rescuer performed CPR, during which point Martin regained consciousness and was promptly transported to the Doniphan City Jail.

As of now, “Martin is facing several charges including property damage, supplying alcohol to a minor, and no proper trash container in a vessel,” KFVS 12 News is reporting.

At the least, I think he owes his rescuer a case of beer, don’t you think?
