The history of ski resorts in North America is little known by most skiers in the US and Canada.  This video, which sounds like it was made in the 1950s, gives us some quality information about the history of ski areas in North America.

Squaw Valley’s 1960 winter Olympics were the first televised Olympics and helped catapult skier visits in the USA from 1/2 Million to 3 Million from 1960-1968.

From rope tows to high speed chairlifts, from the East Coast to the West, this the story of how skiing grew.
