If you haven’t checked your various social medias yet today, you may not know that Squaw Valley USA is slated to open this Friday, almost a full week ahead of schedule! That’s right folks, the mountain that hosted the 1960 Winter Olympics, the mountain that is home to the sickest skiers to ever ski, the mountain that DID NOT get as much snow as Alta/Snowbird this weekend, the mountain that is downright rad will be open for skiing well before you fill your belly with Turkey. Just think about that! If you haven’t already, get your skis tuned up, your stoke level on high, and yourself to Squaw Valley this Friday!

Cats were running up the face of Red Dog today, getting things buffed out for the early opening, and its looks better than the first week of January did last year. It is still earl out so remember to be careful out there, this past storm came in ultra light and while everything looks white, there are certainly some sharks lurking.
