Howie Henderson, co-founder of the Jackson Hole Air Force, passed away last night. Howie was in his home in Jackson, Wyoming when he collapsed. EMTs were unsuccessful in their attempts to resuscitate Howie.

Howie was one of the Jackson Hole Air Force crew that continually pushed the boundary issue at Jackson Hole ski resort and are credited with helping create the open boundary policy that is now currently enjoyed in Jackson Hole.

The recent movie “Swift Silent Deep” features Howie and the Jackson Hole Air Force and what they did in the 1980s and 90s to push the limits of skiing from the Jackson Hole Tram.
