Mammoth Mountain is officially open for business and skiers and riders from all over have flocked to the Sierra ski area to score their first turns of the season.

Snowmaking efforts proved fruitful and while mother nature didn’t cooperate with prior forecasts this past week, the 2017/2018 season is officially underway.
“Please note that no beginner terrain is currently available and early season obstacles do exist so always exercise caution and stay on groomed trails. Enjoy the first turns of the season. See you on the hill.”
Snow conditions should be decent after cold, overnight temps this past week allowed for a very successful snowmaking push. That said, don’t expect a winter wonderland but hey– there’s never been a better time to get those awkward first turns of the season out of the way.
