Skier wearing all-white almost invisible
Skier wearing all-white almost invisible

If you are a messy eater or tend to ski at places with muddy parking lots, an all white snowsuit is probably not a very practical attire choice but there may also be safety implications on slopes for wearing all white outerwear and it comes down to visibility or lack there of.

The following video shows snowboarder who very nearly collided with a skier dressed in all white who was inadvertently (and rather convincingly) camouflaged against a backdrop of snow.

You can hear the surprise in the snowboarders voice as he slammed on the brakes and avoided the collision. He got an earful from a passerby and full took responsibilty for the close call and after reviewing the video you have to cut him some slack, she really did seemingly blink into existence. Maybe when they made up the societal rule that you shouldn’t wear white after Labor Day they were thinking about safety on the slopes?
