While a day of skiing at Mount Bohemia is an amazing adventure, some say that is only half the fun. The Nordic Spa which opened in 2019 is the place to be after the chairlifts close for the day.
The Nordic Spa operates daily in the winter from 12pm to 12am and your Bohemia Season Pass gets you free access all year long. An incredible value as a day pass to the Nordic Spa sells for $49.

Located in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Mount Bohemia is a throwback to a 1960’s buzzing European ski resort. A lively base area made up of lodging yurts, trailside cabins, a hostel, base area yurts, the North Pole Bar and of course the Nordic spa. Imagine coming off the mountain after a long day of skiing and then walking into the liveliest slopeside après ski party in North America. The Mount Bohemia après scene has been phenomenal for years but they are taking it to the next level for winter 2025/2026 with the debut of a their brand new $2 million expansion.
First off Bohemia has added a 43 person hot springs mineral pool located next to the Finnish sauna. This mineral pool is the same temp as the original 30 person hot tub but with the added benefit of mineral combinations that you would find out west at the hot spring resorts. The hot springs mineral pool allows great views of the newly built tiki bar and the ski slopes of Bohemia.

A tiki bar at a ski resort ? Yes!!!
The new tiki bar gives Bohemia another place to enjoy après beverages, eat and relax. Boho’s Tiki Room brings Polynesian culture to the great white north of Upper Michigan. A tiki bar slopeside at a ski resort? Yes!! Weird? Very much so but Bohemia has never followed a traditional ski resort path of groomed ski runs and cookie cutter condos. Bohemia is the closest thing in North America that you will find to a 1960’s remote European ski resort. Located just one floor up from the Cool Rain Mist Cave and the Morrocan steam room, the tiki bar will feature a fun Polynesian cocktail menu, draft beer, and amazing shrimp tacos under the twinkling glow of the tiki lights. The Tiki Room will be the place to hang out after skiing all day or for the Nordic Spa users looking to take a break from the hot/cold contrast therapy of the spa located just below. Either way the new Tiki Bar promises fun for all.

One more story up is the Beach Club
One story up from Boho’s Tiki Room is the Beach Club featuring the Keweenaw Peninsula’s first rooftop bar. Guests will enjoy the best view of the Nordic Spa and the ski slopes from this elevated perch. Gather around the rooftop fireplace or relax in one of the rooftop lounge beds and soak in the unique ambiance of this hidden gem of a ski resort.

So much to do so much fun to be had
Of course there are many of the Nordic spa’s other features worth mentioning as well. The Morrocan Steam Room with authentic Moroccan tiles features a cold water fountain and seating for close to 24 people. This steam room has a lavender fragrance along with the perfect amount of heat to create a special experience after skiing all day. Located in the same building is the exfoliation room where customers looking to improve the vibrancy of their skin, guests will have free access to a salt scrub that they can lather up before entering the Morrocan Steam room. After warming up, guests can then go back to the exfoliation room showers or go a few steps further and walk into the Cool Rain Mist Room which has room for 14 people at a time. The Cold Rain Mist Room, similar to what you see at the world renown Skye Lagoon in Iceland, has 60 nozzles shooting a cold mist from above with another 20 nozzle on the sides for a whole body spritz.

Located next to the pool and hot tub is a building featuring a Bio-Sauna and a Crystal Relaxation Room. The Crystal Relaxation Room features heated relaxation beds made by top spa designer Bradford Wellness, acclaimed in Europe and the United states for their top notch work for five star resorts like the Four Seasons Hotel in Kuwait and The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida. Guests will lie down on the warm tile beds gazing out at the pools and ski slopes surrounded by glistening crystals.
The Bio Sauna is the most moderate of all of Bohemia’s four saunas (Himalayan, herbal, and Finnish). This sauna features a mellow complement of heat, light music, color shifting lighting, and a orange scent aroma to create the perfect moderate sauna experience.
With the addition of the Hot Springs Mineral pool, Boho’s Tiki Room, and the Beach Club rooftop bar, the Nordic Spa at Mount Bohemia can handle over 400 people at one time to relax, party, eat, drink, and meet new friends after an amazing day on the slopes. There is no other ski resort in North America where you get a full blown Nordic spa at the base of the ski slopes. Even better your $99 Mount Bohemia Season Pass gets you free access to the Nordic Spa all year round.
As The Nordic Spa enters its sixth season it also features a 30 person outdoor hot tub, 94 degree outdoor heated pool, a cold plunge pool, eucalyptus steam room, Finnish and herbal sauna.

Lets not forget about the original hangouts at the Nordic Spa. Guests have long taken advantage of The Log Cabin Bar and Pizza Cabana located inside the grounds of the Nordic Spa. This allows for a relaxing beer, mixed drink and wood-fired pizza when you visit. Every Saturday afternoon and evening a DJ sets up on Nordic spa deck to play best après ski music.
The terrain at Mount Bohemia is world class especially its incredible glades. But just as special is what happens after the ski day is done. The Nordic spa at Mount Bohemia is a true five star après ski amenity. Remember to purchase your $99 season ski pass to Mount Bohemia which also includes year round access to the Nordic Spa. Sale ends Saturday night December 6th. BUY HERE.
