Extreme dirt skiing.
Extreme dirt skiing.

We’ve seen plenty of dirt skiing videos over the years, with skiers typically sending a large dirt pile or sand dune somewhere nice and open so they don’t have to worry about making consistent turns. The type of dirt skiing that Ryder Bulfone gets up to is a little bit different.

Ryder took his skis down what looks like some proper mountain biking routes, making turns and jumping roots like it’s nothing. The dirt looks wet and pretty soft, so it might be a bit easier to make a turn, but no matter the case it’s darn impressive and not something most people would be willing to try.

Dirt skiing is not recommended for most people, especially if you value the base of your skis. However there are a few places around the country where sand boarding, or snowboarding on sand, is done easily. For example, at Great Sand Dunes National Park, one can rent a sand board and cruise down the park’s iconic towering sand hills.
