Charlemont, Massachusetts — While Massachusetts ski resorts don’t get the fanfare that the mountains in Northern New England do, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t great ski resorts to shred at or explore during the summer. One option is Berkshire East, which just opened its first high-speed quad during the 2023-24 season. Long known for its quality terrain, Berkshire East is now raising eyebrows for what it’s doing in the offseason.

Last week, CBS News Boston (WBZ) did a piece on what Berkshire East has to offer during the summer and fall. The video shares what attractions the ski resort offers and why it’s moved to more of a four-season model.

In the summer, Berkshire East features an aerial adventure course, lift-serviced mountain biking, a mountain coaster, whitewater rafting, and a ZipTour (ziplining). In particular, its mountain biking network is regarded as one of the best in the region. The Thunder Mountain Bike Park was designed by Gravity Logic and features trails for all ability levels.
