It is my distinct pleasure to introduce you to the madness that is the mass start at Der weisse Rausch (translation The White Rush).
The annual race in St. Anton, Austria opens with 555 skiers and snowboarders lined up side by side before a starter pistol signals the beginning of a balls to the wall 1,346 meter vertical descent over a 9km course.
The result is highly entertaining and absolute chaos. Enjoy.
