No boat should go over 50mph. That’s not really an official statement, that’s just coming from my own personal experience. Seriously, have you ever been on a boat going 75mph? It’s terrifying. I mean, it’s a blast, and I would do it again and again in a heartbeat, but it’s terrifying.
Sprint boats, like the Juggernaut driven by husband & wife racing team Jason & Sam, can get to around 90 mph on straightaways. The Juggernaut features a 358 Chevy engine with around 600hp. The video below shows a race through their eyes.
Juggernaut Racing have been together since the boat was purchased in 2019. In 2022, they were the US Jet Sprint Association National Champs. Sam works for a plant nutrition company in marketing, while Jason is a Lieutenant with the Burley Fire Department. They are truly quite the power couple. Check out their merch here.
