A couple experienced a miraculous escape when a humpback whale breached and landed directly on their kayak. The incredible incident, captured on camera by passengers on a Sanctuary Cruises whale-watching trip boat, shows the massive whale emerging from the waters off the coast of California and crashing down onto the unsuspecting couple.
Astonishingly, they disappeared briefly under the weight and splash of the whale but emerged unscathed, much to the relief of the onlookers.
