Looks like the whole state of Vermont showed up for Killington’s big opening day this morning. The line to the K-1 Gondola looked absolutely packed with people waiting to ski two trails of frozen granular manmade snow.
I’m definitely not judging them. I wish I could ski today even it meant waiting in a stupid long lift line for two mediocre trails. My thirst for sliding on snow desperately needs to be quenched.

Check out that line for the gondola!
K1 cars going up fully loaded, and the 2021-22 ski season is live in the Northeast. HUGE props to @KillingtonMtn for doing the improbable and inadvisable all for the sake of stoke!!! pic.twitter.com/zmJXKGJoci

Opening day livestreams from Killington earlier this morning:
Today’s opening was for Killington and IKON passholders only. The Beast will open to the general public tomorrow.
Skiing is skiing no matter what kind of snow you’re sliding on. Always remember that!
