“The EPFL research group REHAssist adapted the TWIICE exoskeleton they’d been working on to create WIITE. People with complete spinal-cord injuries can use WIITE to stand up, walk and, above all, go backcountry skiing thanks to a mechanism that can accommodate standard backcountry ski boots.”

Really cool project that I am happy to report on out of Switzerland where a robotics company has adapted their lower limb exoskeleton designed to enable paraplegic people to stand up and walk for ski touring. Powerful day for this dude Martin Loos who worked his butt off training with the team at TWIICE to ski for the first time in 10 years. Cheers!

“TWIICE is now able to go ski touring. It is through the passion and dedication of pilots like Martin that we are expanding the activities made possible by our exoskeleton.”

What is TWIICE
