A new app in development by Range Rover would allow owners to control their Range Rover Sports from their smartphones. The app can not only lock and start the car, but actually control the steering – which could prove helpful in a treacherous off-roading situation.

The self-driving app is still in the prototyping stage, but don’t be surprised if you soon see this as a feature on new Ranger Rovers.
