School bus takes on notoriously difficult off-roading feature in Moab, Utah.

Hell’s Revenge in Moab, Utah, is categorized by the Bureau of Land Management as an extremely difficult 4×4 route, stretching approximately 6.5 miles in length and taking about 4-6 hours to complete. It’s recommended only for very experienced drivers with advanced equipment, and not recommended for ATVs.

One of the most notorious features along the trail is Hell’s Gate, a difficult and optional offshoot that causes plenty of vehicles to roll over. Most clips of the feature include Jeeps or other classic off-roading vehicles, but this one from xtreme4x4 shows a school bus hitting the feature.

This is clearly not a typical school bus, especially given the decals one the back, so it’s probably safe to assume there’s no class of students having the greatest field trip ever, but it’s still a remarkably wild sight to see. School busses are pretty rugged vehicles, often considered the safest form of transportation on the road, so it’s not a terrible idea to build a 4×4 vehicle out of one.
