Boston, Massachusetts — Vermont had a very eventful Olympics.
While Mikaela Shiffrin no longer lives there, the Burke Mountain Academy graduate secured a gold medal in Slalom. Other successes during the Games were a silver medal in Downhill for Ryan Cochran-Siegle and a bronze medal in Team Combined for Paula Moltzan and Jacqueline Wiles (who’s from Oregon). With ski racing season being over, they can finally unwind and watch some other sports. Mikaela was able to be a photographer for a Brooklyn Nets game, while Paula and Ryan were able to sit courtside for a vastly superior team.
At Tuesday night’s Celtics game versus the Charlotte Hornets, both Paula Moltzan and Ryan Cochran-Siegle sat courtside with their spouses. The two Olympians were honored at center court and were shown on the TD Garden’s jumbotron during a break in the action.
While the ski racing season is over, we’ll likely see both RCS and Moltzan back in the gates next season.
