There have been a lot of epic pond skims in the history of the event, whether it’s ski patrollers pulling toboggans, skiers crossing in absurdly large costumes, or some other form of wild skimming. We’ve seen a lot of tricks, too, including front flips and backflips. But double front flips into a pond skim are a lot less common.
Skier and pond skimming enthusiast Enzo attempted a double front flip at Alaska’s Hilltop Ski Area. He comes pretty close to landing it, nearly getting his skis all the way around, but he just didn’t quite get it.
This is the same guy who threw a nasty front flip, and landed it, at last year’s Hilltop Pond Skim before attempting the same trick at Alyeska’s Slush Cup. This year’s Slush Cup is scheduled for April 24th-26th. We’ll see if he can land the double there, or if he even attempts.
