Snowdon Triple Chairlift removal @ Killington Ski Resort

VERMONT — Killington’s Snowdon Triple Chairlift took its last spin on Saturday, March 21st after serving as a workhorse for the Vermont ski resort since 1973. Now that the ski season is winding down, Killington’s lift maintenance team are hard at work removing all 195 chairs from the haul rope. The chairs will go up for auction supporting the Killington Giving Fund.

The Snowdon Triple will be replaced by a new Doppelmayr fixed-grip quad for the 2026/27 season. The chairlift swap comes in the midst of a multi-year transformation for Killington, with $60 million in capital improvements slated to be completed by the end of summer 2026.

Details on the auction have not been announced but we will be sure to let you know when these incredible pieces of Vermont ski history are up for bids.
