Tannersville, Pennsylvania — We’ve seen several ski resorts in North America make snow this month. This includes some unsurprising places (like Black Mountain and Jay Peak) and more surprising spots (like Brian Head and Mt. Rose). Then there’s making snow in Pennsylvania.
Camelback is the last ski resort standing in Pennsylvania, and they intend to remain open for a while. With cold weather coming through, Camelback is blowing snow to add to the base.
The plan is to remain open daily through April 12th. From there, they will be open on weekends (Friday-Sunday) as late as possible. The focus is on keeping the Nile Mile and Cliffhanger trails open as long as possible, which are served by the Stevenson High-Speed Quad.
Skiing for the rest of the season at Camelback is very affordable. It only costs $50 for a lift ticket. If you have a season pass or an employee ID from another ski resort, you can secure a $25 ticket. $10 lift tickets are available for students and teachers in the local county. Ikon Passholders also get access there.
About Camelback Resort
Situated in the Poconos, Camelback has 39 trails and 14 lifts. Its marquee lift is a bubble six-pack chairlift that opened in 2022.
For those who love sliding down a hill like a penguin, Camelback is home to the longest snow tubing park in the country. Also worth noting is the Camelback Resort hotel, which features a massive indoor water park. During the summertime, Camelback is home to an outdoor water park, ziplines, a treetop adventure course, a mountain coaster, summer tubing, mini golf, and more.
