American ski racing legend Lindsey Vonn just did her first television interview since suffering a complex tibia fracture in her left leg at the Milan-Cortina Olympics. The five-time Olympian sat down with TODAY’s Craig Melvin to talk about the severity of her injuries, how she is handling recovery and what next for her career including her partnership with the biotechnology company Invivyd which his helping her on her path to health and wellness following her devastating injury.
We’ve been paying attention to Vonn’s progress since she got helicoptered off that course in Italy and her grit and determination have been nothing short of incredible. To be where she is after suffering from compartment syndrome in early February is truly inspirational and every time we see her back in the gym working hard on her rehab it gets us fired up. Cheers to Lindsey!
“Definitely some hard times but still thankful… still working hard. The only goal is to get healthy. One day at a time.” -Lindsey Vonn
