Pond skims happen all over the world come the spring, with ski resorts everywhere hosting the legendary warm weather ski event. This pond skim in Slovenia wound up being a little more chaotic then intended when an inflatable boat crashed into an Elan Sports tent.
Fortunately it seems as though everyone was just fine despite the wipeout, with lots of smiles and laughs going around throughout the group.
This pond skim seems to be quite unique in where it takes place. While most occur at downhill ski resorts, this event took advantage of a ski jump landing zone at Planica Nordic Center. It’s certainly a fitting location, given Slovenia’s love and dominance in the sport of ski jumping.
