Kirkwood Mountain Resort and Heavenly, two Lake Tahoe area ski resorts owned by Vail Resorts, are working together to offer a free public shuttle from Heavenly and South Lake Tahoe to Kirkwood through the rest of the season.
Starting today, April 6th, and running through Sunday, April 19th, the new shuttle will operate on a first-come, first-served bases. Google Maps will offer pickup locations and departure times for easier trip planning.
The morning service to Kirkwood will have 5 stops along its route, including California Lodge, Patagonia, the Transit Center, The Y, and Meyers Chevron, in addition to stops at Hilton and other Hwy 50 Westbound lodging locations if passengers are present. The full schedule is available here.
Heavenly wrapped up the 2025/2026 ski season this past Sunday, April 6th, as warm weather and a lack of snowfall damage the conditions around the mountain. Kirkwood is still open, with an estimated closing date of April 19th.
