The California ski season is quickly coming to an end, and while at least one mountain is hoping to keep their lifts spinning late into May, there’s many more that will certainly close in the coming weeks. Currently just 5 ski resorts are open throughout the state, several of which are planning to close before the end of the month. These are the last 5 ski areas open in California.
California’s Final 5 Open Ski Resorts
June Mountain – Closing April 12th.
Kirkwood Mountain Resort – Target closing date of April 19th.
Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe – No date announced. April 26th is the last day of available tickets. (Mt. Rose is in Nevada, but with it being situated in the Lake Tahoe region and quite close to the California border, we chose to include it on this list).
Palisades Tahoe – No date announced.
Mammoth Mountain – Open through at least May 25th.
