More sad news for Pitkin County skiers and snowboarders, as Snowmass has announced their closing day for this Sunday, April 5th. This is now the third Aspen Snowmass mountain to close early, leaving just Aspen Mountain with open terrain.
One last weekend of spring skiing at Snowmass will feature an end-of-season celebration at Elk Camp on Saturday, with the restaurant staying open until 4pm. Last upload is at 3:45pm.
This marks the end of a solid winter, despite the lack of snowfall and warm weather. Snowmass hosted the U.S. Grand Prix, debuted the Elk Camp 6-pack, and opened up the upgraded Cirque T-Bar.
“We’re beyond grateful to our guests, community, and athletes—and especially to our employees across every team whose hard work and adaptability made it possible despite all odds.” – Aspen Snowmass
Aspen Mountain will remain open for as long as possible. This upcoming Monday, April 6th, lift ticket prices will drop to just $98 for adults and $81 for teens, running through the end of the season. Enjoy those turns while they last!
