EDEN, Utah – Big news for Utah skiers and snowboarders, as Powder Mountain is introducing a series of new programs and benefits to expand accessibility for families on the mountain. The changes will be in effect starting during the 202/2027 season, and will feature new Kids Ski Free benefits, further pass access for teen skiers and snowboarders, and much more.
“Families are the core of the Powder community and we’re offering these passes to reflect how important they are to the fabric of the mountain. Having grown up here, I fully appreciate what access to the mountains means for our kids. We want our kids to learn to ski at Powder, and we’re aiming to preserve that opportunity with these initiatives.” – Brandi Hammon, Powder President.
Starting in the 2026/2027 season, adult season pass purchasers will receive up to two complimentary youth passes for kids 12 and under. Any adult season pass comes with the youth passes, making it easier for families with children to get out on the mountain and take advantage of uncrowded skiing and snowboarding.
Additionally, the season pass options for teens ages 13-18 will see reduced prices, with the Unlimited, Unlimited Renewal, and Midweek tiers all seeing reductions. Those costs for teen passes will drop by as much as $300.
Powder Mountain is also set to introduce a new competitive freeride program for the youth athletes through Powder Ski & Ride Team, extending the existing multi-week ski school offering with a competition track to provide young skiers and snowboarders with a solid path into freeride competition. Registration for those teams opens on May 1st.
