Cheers to the folks at Cardona Alpine Resort who boldly signed off on this oddball marketing campaign that gives voice to the beleaguered knees of skiers to express the immensity of their 2718 acres of skiable terrain:
Right Knee: I’m cooked.
Left Knee: Me, too. Like so exhausted.
Right Knee: This place is huge. Oh, totally. Fun to him, though.
Left Knee: But like, we’re left doing all the work. What we need is sauna time.
Right Knee: You read my mind.
Left Knee: Oh no. Well, he’s off again!
There’s a common saying in America that your dogs are barking when your feet hurt but I guess the Kiwi’s picture little skiers on their knees when feeling the burn:
“Short days or long ones. One mountain or two. New Zealand’s biggest alpine playground lets you explore more. Whether your legs like it or not. Sometimes, they need a nap on the magic carpet, and thats okay. With over 1,100ha across Cardrona and Treble Cone, there’s enough mountain here to ski for a week and still find something new. And if you want more, Treble Cone is just down the road. Unlimited joy. Unlimited leg burn. Your legs may hate it. You’ll love it.” -Cardrona Alpine Resort
Completely weird but kinda brilliant. Certainly got our attention. Well played Cardona!
