Brooklyn, New York — Coming off her gold medal win at the Olympics and 6th overall World Cup title, American alpine ski racer Mikaela Shiffrin was in the Big Apple yesterday where she swapped roles with members of the sports media that covers her every move and got behind the lens of a camera for a game between Brooklyn Nets and Charlotte Hornets. Shiffrin had court side access as snapped photos throughout the first quarter of the game at Barclays Center.

Mikaela got some great pictures and may well have a future in sports photography when she decides to hang up her skis. Make sure to swipe through to check out her selects.

Aside from the photography gig, the Brooklyn Nets honored Shiffrin for her gold winning performance at the Olympics and World Cup title with a personalized jersey presented to her at center court.

If you haven’t noticed, top flight athletes picking up a camera is becoming a bit of trend after former Seahawks star Marshawn Lynch has became credentialed sideline photographer for the NFL. Recently Caitlin Clark took on the role of photographer at a Los Angeles Lakers vs Indiana Pacers game and came away with some amazing images.
