Fastest towed asphalt skiing Guinness World Record
A man who calls himself “Mr. World Records” has added another feather to his cap after reaching 69mph on skis while being towed behind a Tesla in what appears to be a shopping center parking lot.
Former US Air Force pilot turned serial record breaker, Johnny Cruz Buckingham, donned a yellow safety suit as his friends clocked his speed with a radar gun for the Guinness World Record certified stunt. The previous record was 39mph.
Buckingham is the owner of more than a dozen other Guinness World Records titles including the most fire knife spins in 30 seconds (104 spins) and the fastest time to travel to all seven continents.

Buckingham effort to search out and break records is done in hopes to inspire his son, Hurricane Thomas Buckingham, to “set big goals and reach for the stars.” This fatherly inspirational motive includes taking challenges like bursting the most balloons in boxing gloves in one minute and speed passing basketballs with his buddy. 🏀 GUINNESS WORLD RECORD BROKEN! 🏀 Most basketball passes in one minute by a pair (male) I organized an official Guinness World Records attempt at Yale University through the World Record Breakers Club. I challenged Yale Men’s Basketball captain, Nick Townsend, to break the record with me. After three attempts, my arms were cooked, so Nick teamed up with Zach Laput, and on their first try, they crushed it! 🔥 Previous record: 102 passes 🔥 New world record: 105 passes After the record attempt, we donated 12 basketballs to the Boys and Girls Club of New Haven, using world records as a platform to give back.
