A destructive wet slab avalanche that ran off of Gothic Peak yesterday afternoon in the Crested Butte backcountry was caught on video and it serves as reminder that although Colorado had a less than stellar snow year, avalanche dangers are very much still present in the mountains and backcountry skiers and snowboarders need to be careful:
