Vemdalsskalet Ski Resort

Vemdalen, Sweden — Incredible footage from the slopes of Vemdalsskalet Ski Resort in Sweden where a juvenile reindeer was escorted off a trail by a member of the resorts ski patrol:

“For several days we have had a visit from a reindeer who stayed in various descents, and at the risk of being hit by skiing holiday celebrators, the ski patrol had to move out and help the reindeer from the ski slope to a safer place in the mountains.”

Apparently the little reindeer was not wild, turns out it was domesticated and escaped from its rightful owner who was later contacted to pick it up. Guess we can mark this up to just another day in the office for those who keep the slopes save in Scandinavia. Skål!
