Schweitzer Mountain as of March 25th, 2026.

Idaho’s Schweitzer Mountain has joined the growing list of western ski resorts that have announced an earlier closing date than initially planned, making the difficult decision to move closing day up to Saturday, April 5th.

The update comes after 2 weeks of warm weather resulting in the loss of 2 feet of snowpack. The final day of operations is a week earlier than initially planned thanks to the deteriorating conditions.

There are still plenty of events planned for the rest of the season despite the early closure, including the annual Pass Holder Appreciation Day set for April 4th, Schpring Finale on April 4th and 5th, and the Hillside Hustle, a new jam-style, community-driven park event scheduled for April 4th.

5 of 10 lifts are currently open at Schweitzer with 39 of 92 trails. Take advantage of the snow and skiing while it’s still here!
