World's First Motorcycle Dune To Dune Backflip

Glamis, California — Massive congratulations going out to German freestyle motocross athlete Julien Vanstippen who just wrote his name in the history books pulling off the world’s first dune to dune backflip jump on a motorcycle.

Equipped with specialized paddle tires (designed with deep scoops to provide maximum traction and flotation in loose sand) Vanstippen pinned his bike in the vast sandy playground of The Glamis Sand Dunes and found the perfect pair of dunes to launch his world’s first trick which carried him 140 from takeoff to landing.

The Glamis Sand Dunes is part of the Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area (ISDRA) which forms the largest OHV sand dune area in the United States, stretching over 40 miles and rising up to 300 feet. Amazing feat by Monster Energy FMX athlete and the 5-time X Games medalist. Congratulations!
