This rather unique season the 2026 Freeride World Tour is coming to an end, concluding with the YETI Xtreme Verbier, the second stop of the FWT Finals. With the weather window opening up between March 28 – April 5, the conclusion of this year’s tour is quickly arriving.

All four titles are still up for grabs (mens/womens ski and snowboard champions). Victor de Le Rue (snowboard men) is leading the podium chasing after a record breaking fifth FWT title. Mia Jones (snowboard women) continues to lead the charge but fierce competition is following right behind her.

Verbier local Sybille Blanjean is in first for the ski women with two rookies looking to chase down her spot. Ski male Toby Rafford is leading the charge but previous performances from Ben Richards and Ross Tester mean the spot is up for grabs.

With no title guaranteed yet everybody is anxious for what could go down, particularly the thirteen Verbier rookies. The Bec des Rosses face boasts a 600 hundred vertical meter drop and slopes as steep as 51 degrees.

The Verbier finals comes after the athletes spent ample time skiing spines in the Alaskan wild. These riders must pivot to the unforgiving face of Bec des Rosses; the stakes couldn’t be higher. For three decades riders have pushed the limits of freeride in Verbier and this year should be no different. Especially after two cancelled stops, athletes are eager to prove themselves in the finals.

With a complex venue full of narrow couloirs and mandatory airs, precision is essential. With this being the final stop of the Tour, risk-taking is necessary but so is perfection. Tune in live to watch what each athlete puts down.
